TP-Link RE220 v2 is a wireless range extender with Ethernet and 2.4G and 5G WiFi with internal antennas. It's based on MediaTek MT7628AN+MT7610EN. This port of OpenWRT leverages work done by Andreas Böhler <dev@aboehler.at> for the TP-Link RE200 v2 as both devices share the same SoC, flash layout and GPIO pinout. Specifications MediaTek MT7628AN (580 Mhz) 64 MB of RAM 8 MB of FLASH 2T2R 2.4 GHz and 1T1R 5 GHz 1x 10/100 Mbps Ethernet UART header on PCB (57600 8n1) 8x LED (GPIO-controlled), 2x button There are 2.4G and 5G LEDs in red and green which are controlled separately. Web Interface Installation It is possible to upgrade to OpenWrt via the web interface. Simply flash the -factory.bin from OEM. In contrast to a stock firmware, this will not overwrite U-Boot. -----------------------------------------------------
This is the buildsystem for the OpenWrt Linux distribution.
To build your own firmware you need a Linux, BSD or MacOSX system (case
sensitive filesystem required). Cygwin is unsupported because of the lack
of a case sensitive file system.
You need gcc, binutils, bzip2, flex, python3.5+, perl, make, find, grep, diff,
unzip, gawk, getopt, subversion, libz-dev and libc headers installed.
1. Run "./scripts/feeds update -a" to obtain all the latest package definitions
defined in feeds.conf / feeds.conf.default
2. Run "./scripts/feeds install -a" to install symlinks for all obtained
packages into package/feeds/
3. Run "make menuconfig" to select your preferred configuration for the
toolchain, target system & firmware packages.
4. Run "make" to build your firmware. This will download all sources, build
the cross-compile toolchain and then cross-compile the Linux kernel & all
chosen applications for your target system.
